Time Well Spent
For the most part I think my scores are still the same. The only change would be is that I have a more knowledge on how to go to the next level of my spiritual and psychological goals. With this class now I have more direct vessels to go to for optimal information. This class has added full to my fire in knowing there are others on that same journey for enlightenment and understanding as I am. For my goals I have increased my training with a weighted back pack with the gear I would need on the Appalachian Trail and I walk five to ten miles a day with it on to condition myself. With the wanting to visit a Tibetan monastery I looking into joining the local peace dragon for tie chi lesson and every four years he takes a group overseas for training. I'm looking forward to this journey and very excited about having deep inner peace.

Happy Trails To Everyone
Introduction
In today’s
world it is important for health and wellness professional to develop
psychologically, spiritually, and physically. For many reasons being people are
beginning to look inward for healing and treatments. No longer trusting totally
in convention medicines, which have adverse side effects. For health and
wellness professional this means we need to be the beacons of light to guide
people on their psychological, spiritual, and physical voyage. To be there at
their beginning to explain what they may encounter and to offer assist in these
times of awakenings. To never prescribe any psychologically, spiritual or physical
treatment .That we haven’t experienced ourselves. For me I think my psychological
health needs more developing and nurturing. To do this working on my resilience
to make it where when stressful things happen I don’t live there. To recognize it
and recover quicker than the last time to have the
capacity to recognize my emotions
and express them appropriately will help me avoid getting stuck in depression,
anxiety, or other negative mood states. Another factor I will develop is to have
a strong support network. Surround myself with people I can turn to for
encouragement and support will boost my resilience in tough times.
Assessment
For me spiritually I feel this will be an ongoing learning
for life I don’t think I will ever reach a point to where I just say I reached
my ended. To score myself now I feel I am on the right path at this point and
time in my life. Spiritually I feel more awake to my inner self and gathering a
better understand of who I am the true me not just the father me , the son me,
and the husband me but the understanding spiritually that they all are parts of
me that make of the whole me. My physical strength has always been there growing
up on a farm like environment you had to be strong or develop it quickly. Even now
I hike work out and do a lot of physical activities, so for the most part my
physical assessment would be good. Now as previously stated before my
psychologically assessment needs more developing. I learning as I get older my
strength is still there but my mental drive is starting suffer and I have
learned from this class that the mind is the body and the body is the mind. So
I’m only going to advance so far with just brute strength alone so I will have
to train and develop my psychological strength to match my physical and
spiritual strengths.
Goal Development
Physical
The one goal that I want to achieve physically is to hike
the entire Appalachian Trail all 2,180 miles.
Psychological
The one goal I want
to achieve psychologically is to stop feeling guilty. I learned in this class
that quilt is a wasted emotion that has always held me back. Feeling guilty for
being blessed with opportunities that others don’t have is and will be a thing
of my past.
Spiritually
The one of my many goals to do spiritually is to spend 3
months in a Tibet monastery just to learn and observe first hand.
Practices for
personal Health
Some practices for my
personal health I would incorporate for physical health would be to train my
body to deal with different altitudes and to train myself to live with less. Why
I said this is for me to one day hike the entire Appalachian Trail I’m going to
need to be physically strong as well as even more mentally strong to spend so
much of that time alone. Learning to meditate on a deeper level before I leave
on this journey would help in the success of completion. Putting myself in some
controlled stress situation, like extreme hiking events or signing up for one
of the Spartan warrior’s events. Will help me develop my mental abilities as
well as my body and could also help me spiritually.
Commitment
To help me keep track
of my development I think for me the best way is to keep a journal of my everyday
events. Write down all the things that happen, how I felt at the time it happen
and why did I have those feelings. This will help me to better understand my
trigger points and refocus me on the goals I set out for myself to achieve. It would
be like a day to day standard work instruction to start out then once it
becomes second nature enhance it with more goals and challenges. I have learned
in this class true health and happiness is something you not will quickly acquire
it but is attainable threw perseverance and hard work. One has to realize the
time is going to pass anyways what is important is what it is spent on and the
fruits of your labor.

Double Practice
The two practices
that I have found to be beneficial are love and kindness and meditation. Love and
kindness is a way of healing the troubled mind to free it from its pain and
confusion. It keeps you focused on the positive things that are going on around
you. We tend to magnify and dwell on the things that are negative in our lives
and not give any energy to the things that are positive. Love and kindness has helped
me see the positive in every situation work or at home. It is a way of
refocusing for threw out my day and to not harvest negative energy. I think the
meditation goes well with love and kindness practice. With meditation you look
more in ward and silence the mind. Meditation brings harmony in creation when you meditate, you are in the
space of vastness, calmness and joy and this is what you emit into the
environment. I also becoming aware of my consciousness evolving and in time am
able to experience the higher and refined states of consciousness. So for me
these two practices are helping me become more centered and aware of what is
important and valuable.

Wise One or Wise Ones?
This exercise is going to take more than just one setting to
achieve the focus on one individual. This is more of an exercise when you have
honed your meditation skills. I never could focus on one “wise one” due to the
fact there were so many people who have helped me become who I am. So the first
and last face I saw was my mothers who have taught me kindness and
understanding toward others regardless of race sex or ethical back grounds. She
gave me a solid foundation to stand on which brings me to the second face that
came into focus was an old neighbor of ours when I was around 10 to 13 he
taught me the beginning stages of what it means to be a man, my mother was
great and all but she was limited when it can to things of man hood. Once I got
my first job there was a man who taught me that in business your word was everything,
make money but don’t let that me the only important part of business. To be
professional and honest with your clients, this exercise did help remind me of
some of the foundations and the people I haven’t thought about in years. It
made me wonder in their eyes would they be pleased with the man I have become.
With the saying
“One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself” kind of explains it
self I cannot guide anyone to places or experiences I haven’t done myself. How can a person be a true testament of an
experience if they have never experienced it at all? Within profession you owe
it to your clients to have the most hands on experience as possible if not for
creditability at least for the fact that you would know how they would feel
experiencing something for the first time. So you could at least talked them
threw it. For example I just recently took my 10 year old daughter hunting for
the first time, I explained what the gun would feel like before she even saw,
touched it or shot it. Just so she would know what to expect. There will still
be some surprise to her but it will be an expected surprise. Now we got
shooting the rifle out of the way and she comfortable with it. Then I explained
how she was going to feel as soon as a deer stepped out in front of her. That her
heart would pound so loud that you would swear that the deer could hear. That her
breathing would speed up like she running and her hands would become clammy and
with all that going on she would remember to aim take a deep breath and lightly
squeeze the trigger. Now if I hadn’t experienced that same excitement she wouldn’t
know what to expect or maybe not wanted to hunt at all. So yes I think in any
professor it’s our duty to gain as much experience as possible to help client
be successful.
